ARTIST STATEMENT
Water is a fundamental element of all humanexistence, important enough to sustain life and violent enough to extinguishit! Delicate enough to bend lightrays into a magnificent rainbow yet  powerful enough to carve deep massivecanyons in solid rock. With the transmission of water in its’ multiple forms,it tends to govern all of the energy and movement we experience. It storesenough fuel (Hydrogen) to supply the Earth’s energy needs for thousands ofyears yet is gentle enough to cleanse a new born baby. One of the fundamental forces of natureand among our most precious resources to be protected and preserved forfuture generations, water canreflect the relationship between God’s creation and man’s journey.

A Question of Taste

As usual with a large group exhibition, a few generalizations suggest themselves. Here, for instance, photography doesn't make an especially strong showing, which probably says more about the state of the medium itself than its individual practitioners. Exceptions are Michele Guarino's painterly Pine Island, whose shallow waters suggest liquid sand dunes, and Roy Quesada's witty Paparazzi, for which he stages a miniature tableau within a bromeliad and then photographs it, implicating us in layers of voyeurism.
